AT THE INTERSECTION BETWEEN ART, DESIGN AND THE ENVIRONMENT.
FLORESTA. Flor meaning flower; flowering; in bloom. Esta meaning to be; life; living, derived from Spanish.
FLORESTA Magazine is a space specifically dedicated to works which adopt a creative lens to centre, focus, address, incorporate and respond to elements of the environment – fusing these crucial areas together. We are interested in all areas, mediums and ideas – encompassing all those who are creating, innovating and designing, and not limited to artists solely in the traditional sense. We explore the nuanced artistry, projects, bodies of work and perspectives which push us to think about the environment in a more dynamic, creative, innovative and impactful way. Exploring creative works that fuse mediums, places, spaces, people and ideas. Amplifying works by those from marginalised genders, traditionally underrepresented, and historically excluded communities.
Led by Women and Non-binary people.
Founded in 2020 in Manchester, UK.
Magazine. Collective. Platform.
